The Colorado United Irish Societies, Inc. (CUIS) is an affiliation of eleven Denver area Irish culture and fellowship organizations. Founded in 1994, the group's mission is to build an Irish Center in Denver, preserve the Irish culture and heritage among Irish Americans, and provide young people with an opportunity to study Irish history, music, dance, art, theater and literature.

The annual Irish Festival is the group's primary fundraising event. In 1995, the first annual Festival hosted nearly 4,000 visitors. The one-day event offered spectators a chance to sample Irish music, food, dancing, sports, drama and fellowship. More than 30 national and local sponsors helped fund the event. In 1999, the Festival hosted 10,000 people over a 2 day event at the new venue of the Lakewood Heritage Center.

In the coming years, CUIS plans to build the Festival into one of the nation's premier Irish culture events.
