associates
The 2004 Colorado Irish Festival needs volunteers for many organizational aspects of the Colorado Irish Festival. The Board of Directors is authorized to work with non-members who may have skills in specific areas or tasks by Committees on the Festival. Committees open for associate contributions include:
Advertising. Press releases, photography, an art poster contest, television, radio and print media interaction. This is a key area that defines the success of any Irish Festival.
Beverages. A team will set up beverages, recruit and train special volunteers and oversee the inventory and stocking of a variety of beverages and beverage booths at the Festival.
Entertainment. Booking and contracting, stage management, emcees, sound engineering, ground transportation, Irish Music Tent sales and logistical support.
Feis. Logistical support for the outdoor Feis.
General Services. Tents and stages, layout and general Festival management requires dedicated people for excellent planning and execution of the Irish Festival.
Program. Advertising sales, content and photos, public relations and interaction with composers and printers. This job starts early and finishes just in time for the Festival.
Sponsorship. The non-profit seeks new sponsors in a variety of opportunities, from the Festival poster, program, vendors, stage-naming rights and other signage. Sponsors are an important part of the Festival.
Vendors. There are three vendor areas: merchandise, food and children's rides. Each of these areas needs associates to help run or take charge of one of the specific areas.
Volunteers. Running the manpower for the Irish Festival is daunting. From application review to training, to working out last minute details in scheduling before and after the Festival, this is a demanding committee that needs lots of assistance.
